Millions by Frank Cottrell Boyce
A Different Ending by Mateo R. and Felipe B.

I was on the school play when I noticed that the robber was looking for my money. Suddenly I came up with a plan! I moved all the money that was in my bag and switched it with the hay in the horse. I left the play and jumped on the first train to my house. Once I got home, I locked myself in my room. Suddenly, I heard the windows open, and I could hear how a man was getting closer!
            “Help, Help!”
I thought it was the robber, but it was Anthony telling me to get back to the school play. He also asked me, “Why were you screaming?” I told him everything that had happened.
Once the play finished, we went home and we saw that someone was going out the back door with a duffle bag. We went inside and we witnessed how everything was broken and gone. Later Dad told us, “The money is no longer for charity, it’s all for me!” The next day I saw Dad with a lot of cuts on his face and I asked him, “What has happened?” He told me, “I saw the man who robbed us and told him not to mess with us again.” I noticed that my dad recovered everything that we had lost. I was happy again.
One Year Later…

We gave the money away to the church so they would give away the money to the poor. Dad and Dorothy got married and Anthony started to like Dorothy. The neighbors used up all the money we gave them and didn’t ask for anymore. Everyone started calling me Mr. Generous. It was all perfect!
